Blood Donation

To mark the “Year of Giving”, our school organized blood donation camp  in our school auditorium as a part of community service. The donors were motivated with the slogan “One blood donation can save up to 3 lives and the blood you donate gives someone another chance of life.” School management, staffs and parents actively participated in this drive. Blood donors are life savers, ADIS respects and salutes them for their noble work.

Eat Right Get Active Week

The school’s “Eat Right, Get Active” week was conducted from 16th April to 20th April 2017. Students participated in various activities like skits, fancy dress, salad making, health talk, yoga, walk and exercises were organized.
The aim of the program was to inculcate healthy eating habits and life style both at home and school. The event motivated and educated the children about the importance of balanced diet and exercise.

E -Waste Drive

E- Waste is a huge problem faced by the environment today. Prakriti ,the environment club of the school ,under its external outreach program started the E- waste collection drive on 26th January 2017 .The club collects all types of electrical waste from the community for “Enviroserve”, an agency which recycles E- waste. This has also given people a chance to dispose of their E- waste in the right manner. In this phase the club was able to recycle 80 kilos of E- waste for which the school was awarded a certificate by Enviroserve.

Year Of Giving 2017-18

June 20, 2017:  To encourage students to participate in charity events, we organized a successful charity to raise awareness about (Islamic values) Ramadan at Galleria mall, Abu Dhabi in coordination with Emirates Red Crescent. The students from grade 1 to 12 volunteered to donate new clothes and toys for needy children under 12 years of age.

Joy Of Giving

To mark the “YEAR OF GIVING” and to educate students about the importance of volunteering and making a difference in the society, Goodwill Club organizedJoy of Giving” on 09/06/2017 during the “First Parent Teachers Meeting”. All the students from grades 1 to 12 made a handmade item e.g. Cards, posters, jewelry, canvas paintings etc. and gave to the visiting parents and students.

Colour For A Smile

‘Colour for a Smile’ was an awareness campaign organized by the ‘Operation Smile’- school club to raise awareness among the students and parents of Kindergarten about cleft lips and palates. The event was held in the Kindergarten section of school during the parent-teacher meeting on 8th June-2017. The purpose of this event was to educate the parents and children about the cause and encourage them to help in any possible way.
