Gears Robotic Club

Vision:

A community of learning where both young and old share common goal of problem solving through science, technology and mathematics to improve the world we live in.

Mission:

Our mission is to inspire young people to be science and technology leaders, by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering and technology skills, that inspire innovation, and that foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership.

Objective:

We wish to inculcate and impart the skills required for basic robotic construction and programming so that it may help anyone in the future who may be interested in the field, we wish to make the process of converting ideas into a reality, a joy and a fun learning experience, we encourage more members to join and take active part in the development of the club, so that it can be a better experience for all of us. GEARS is the common place where all ideas are shared and nurtured so that they can become something more than a mere thought.

Activities:

The GEARS robotic club for the year 2016-17 participated in three events namely World Robotics Olympiad, First Lego League and Teen’s Day, a team consisting of Aashel Kochery, Elvin Jojo, Chris James, Dhiraj Pakala, Jai Bardhan, Naga Prasath, Nikhil Shaji and Joel Morrison had bagged first place at the First Lego League for the most innovative project and first place at Teens day for the most innovative solution, their project demonstrates a clever way on recycling plastic.
